Welcoming each showroom visitor as a guest

Context
Activa is one of the major insurers in Central Africa. In its showroom, visitors come to discover offers, ask questions or take out insurance. But reception relied on the staff: it was not always clear who had already been there, what interested them, or how to contact them again.
My approach
- An experience of hospitality: each screen opens with an African proverb ("Hospitality is a treasure", "A united family eats from the same plate"). You do not enter an agency, you are welcomed.
- Two clear entry points: "I am new" or "I am returning", with the phone number as the unique identifier.
- Language selection from the very first screen, French or English.
- A large-screen format (1920 × 1080): big buttons, little text per screen, readable standing up and from a distance.

Challenge
- Welcome each visitor alone, on a screen, without making them feel lost.
- Recognise a customer who has already visited and register a new one in a few seconds.
- Present sometimes complex insurance products (savings, guarantee, health…) in a simple and engaging way.
Solution
Visitor side:
- Bilingual welcome, then identification (new or returning visitor) and a short "To serve you better" form.
- A menu with three sections: Discover insurance, Our products and services, What's new.
- A separate Business catalogue (business owner, risks, health & protection, guarantee, savings & retirement) and Individuals (education…), with "Good to know" callouts.
- An application journey that ends with a clear confirmation.
- A personalised goodbye: "Goodbye, [first name], and thank you for visiting Activa Showroom".

What I take away from it
An insurance product is first and foremost a relationship built on trust. Here, tone (the proverbs, the personalised goodbye) matters just as much as usability: the screen extends the human welcome instead of replacing it.
